Beverly Withers, 87

Beverly Janet Withers, age 87, of Kalamazoo passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Crystal Woods Assisted Living. Beverly was born in Sturgis, MI on July 4, 1927 the daughter of Earl and Edna(Martin)Light.

Beverly was a long time resident of Three Rivers where she participated and donated much of her time to community and church events. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church where she contributed her time to organizing church activities with the Methodist Women. She was also a long time member of the Three Rivers Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and, playing cards with her “card group”.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Withers and son, Steve Withers

Beverly leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Jeff (Linda) Withers of Kalamazoo, MI and Jon (J.J.) Withers of Constantine; brother, Jerry(Pat)Light of Jenison, MI; grandchildren, Amy Withers Jennifer(Bob)Miller, Joni Withers, Colt Withers, and Marc Withers; great grandchildren, Haven, Zack, Houston, Cory, and Kennedy.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Hohner Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers with Pastor Robert Nystrom officiating.

Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.

Memorial donations in memory of Beverly may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, St. Joseph County Commission on Aging, or Crystal Woods Assisted Living Facility. Envelopes available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
