Clara Bent, 97

Clara M. Bent, age 97, of Marcellus, MI passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
She was born September 17, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Cyrus and Bertha E. (Miller) Taylor. On February 14, 1943 in Gobles, MI she married Clayton W. Bent who preceded her in death.
Clara was a bookkeeper all her life. She enjoyed attending church, doing crafts, cooking & canning.
Surviving is one daughter, Susan (Curt) McCall of Venezuela; one son Donald (Sally) Butler of Onaway, MI; two sisters, Claudia (Al) Rasmussen of Allegan, MI and Lois Johnson of Gobles, MI; one brother, Cyrus (Martha) Taylor, Jr. of Florida; special family members John & Pat Sonnevil of Marcellus, and Al Treat of Paw Paw, MI; seven grandchildren, Ken Butler, Kara Kile, Michele Huston, Craig Bent, Stacey Bent, Susan McCall and David McCall; several great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Floyd Butler, son Herbert Bent and four sisters.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Marcellus United Methodist Church with Pastor John Messner officiating. Burial will take place in Marcellus Cemetery.
