A Mendon High School senior has made a commitment to continue his football career by signing a letter of intent to play at Central Michigan University.
Logan Slaughter, a four-year starter for the Hornets, is the second player under Coach John Schwartz to play for a Division I school.
Slaughter plans to major in psychology and has expressed an interest in possibly pursuing a law degree. The first year as a Central Michigan player will begin at the end of June, but Slaughter said the plan right now is to redshirt for his freshman year.
An all-conference tackle for Mendon, Slaughter said Central is looking for him to potentially play at the center position in college.
Coach Schwartz said he is happy for Slaughter and is looking forward to following Slaughter during his time at Central.
