Patricia Joan Johnson, age 69, of Colon, passed away, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Sturgis Hospital. Patricia was born May 31, 1945, in Sturgis, a daughter to the late Lynn and Avis ( Kimble) Haskins. On July 2, 1961, she married Buckshot ( Gail) Johnson. They met at the age of 12 and were high school sweethearts and were married when Patricia turned 16. They would have been married 54 years this July.
She had lived all of her life in the Burr Oak and Colon area, she was a homemaker and was presently attending the Colon Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Buckshot Johnson of Colon; one brother, Ron ( Deb) Haskins of Burr Oak; three daughters, Tammy Johnson of Colon, Tonya ( Aqeel) Ahmed of Burr Oak, Cheryl ( Greg) Allen of Mendon; two sons, Brett Johnson ( Clara Dibble) of Colon and Jeremy ( Doreen) Holtz of Sherwood; grandchildren, Seth ( Katelyn) Winnicki of Colon, Casey Winnicki of Colon, Cody Johnson of Seattle, Wash., Zachary Ahmed of Burr Oak, Brad Johnson of Sturgis, and Rayce Fuller of Colon; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Eugene Haskins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2- 4 p. m. and 6- 8 p. m. Tuesday at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Patricia J. Johnson will be Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at 11 a. m. from the funeral home with Pastor David Porter officiating. Burial will follow at the Burr Oak Twp. Cemetery in Burr Oak.
