Harry Brown, 86

Harry Scott Brown, age 86, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home. He was born in Three Rivers on March 31, 1928 the son of the late Elmer E. and Emma C. (White) Brown and attended Three Rivers Schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. While stationed at Ft. Meade, Maryland he was married to Irene Roxana Howes. They moved to Three Rivers following Harry’s military service where he engaged in general farming and worked at Wells Manufacturing for over 14 years. He enjoyed tending his garden, and travelling across the world following his retirement.

Harry is survived by his wife, Irene Brown of Three Rivers; three daughters, Marilee (Robert) Yoder of Sturgis, Dona “Dee” (Rob Peterson) Brown of Portage, and Robin Dolph-Peterson of Three Rivers; one granddaughter, Caroline (Tracy) McDonald of Elkhart; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Caleb, Zachary, and Madalynn; sister, Kathaleen Tobin of Texas; sister in law, Opal Brown of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by four siblings, Josephine Marston, Virgil Klopp, Frances Shively, and Richard Brown.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted, and there will be no services. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, or to a charity of one’s choice.
