Indiana Michigan Power has announced that customers have the option to be notified by text message or email when their home or business is affected by a power outage.
Customers enrolled in I&M ON THE GO – Mobile Alerts, will receive a notification when an outage has been reported in their area. Customers will continue to get immediate updates as I&M crews determine the outage cause and predict when power is expected to be restored.
Paul Chodak III, I&M’s president and chief operating officer, stated in a media release that the technology age makes information readily available.
He said Indiana Michigan Power is committed to being an energy partner, providing its customers with a more convenient method of receiving account information.
The website IndianaMichiganPower.com provides customers the opportunity to enroll in power-outage alerts.
