Peggy A. King, age 84, of White Pigeon, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Constantine on February 22, 1931, she was a daughter of Harley & Clara (Roberts) Leister. Peggy graduated from Constantine High School in 1949 and went to South Bend Business College. On December 15, 1951 she married Robert King in Constantine. Peggy was a Secretary at Eastside School in Constantine for more than 20 years, retiring in 1963. She was a member of Riverside Garden Club, Red Hat Society, and also enjoyed bowling, knitting, gardening & reading.
Surviving Peggy are her husband, Robert King, daughters, Brenda (David) Bell, Vicki (Lonnie) Freshour, sons Gary (Marla) King, and Robert (Monica) King, all of White Pigeon, grandchildren Angela (Jeff) Happner, Kathy King, Rachel (Andy) Peters, Robert J. (Khrys) King, Luke King, Zach King, Eric King, Kelly King, Kara Freshour, Arica Freshour, great grandchildren Gabriel & Hannah Happner, Lily & Isaiah Peters, & Elena & Ava King. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Gregory King.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 2 – 8 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Bristol United Methodist Church; 201 S. Division, Pastor Fred Stayton officiating. Interment will be at Mottville Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bristol United Methodist Church or Three Rivers Hospice.
