Police searching for driver following crash

Michigan State Police are looking for a driver who left the scene of a crash late Monday in Sturgis Township.
Police said the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Fawn River and Shimmel roads.
Police said Rhonda Weller, 43, of White Pigeon, was driving west on Fawn River Road when she attempted to pass a pickup truck that had stopped at the intersection. The driver of the pickup attempted to turn left without signaling, striking Weller’s vehicle.
Weller pulled to the side of the road to make contact with the other driver, described as a white male with a ponytail. Weller told police the truck went off the road, struck a stop sign and continued south on Shimmel Road.
Police said the vehicle is an older-model, white and blue Chevy pickup. It may have damage to the driver’s side quarter panel.
