Sheriff’s Department will offer boater safety course

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is accepting registration for its boater-safety class.
Offered to prospective participants 12 years of age and older, the class will be offered on four different occasions this summer. The one-day course runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is slated to take place on consecutive Saturdays: June 6, 13, 20 and 27.
The course is offered at the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
Space is limited. Registration can be done by phoning 467-9045, ext. 221. Information to be provided includes the participant’s name, date of birth, address and a contact number.
Participants will need to bring a sack lunch and a pencil.
