Three Rivers has been selected to participate in a market-analysis service through its participation in the Michigan Main Street program.
The market-analysis service is one of several application-based services offered to all Selected and Master Level Michigan Main Street communities.
The Downtown Development Authority’s Economic Restructuring Committee applied for the market-analysis service in January.
The training and consultation service specifically assists with not only gathering quantitative information that identifies business opportunities in the commercial district, but how to use this information to attract and retain business. The market-analysis service is valued at more than $20,000.
Consultants will visit Three Rivers at the end of April for a driving and walking tours, and will visit businesses, and then guide DDA representatives through a general outline of tasks, follow-up dates and deadlines.
The study is expected to wrap up by the end of the calendar year.
