The St. Joseph County Conservation District is accepting advance orders for its annual spring tree sale.
Though quantities are limited, the advance sale is on through April 1. Nine different conifers – ranging from blue spruce and red pine to balsam fir – and a variety of eight deciduous trees – including black cherry, red maple and hazelnut – are available. Also, shrubs and three special variety trees – American chestnut, white pine and hybrid poplar – are also available.
Prices range from $8.75 for five conifers and $10 for five deciduous trees and shrubs, to $15 for five of the special variety trees.
Extras will be on sale at the Sturgis Journal Home and Garden Expo April 17 and 18.
