Carolyn Ruth Weiderman, 80, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac, following a short illness.
She was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Lima, Ohio, a daughter of John and Edith Huston. She grew up and graduated from Burr Oak High School, but lived most of her adult life in White Pigeon.
She managed many local business offices and ended her career as White Pigeon village clerk. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in White Pigeon.
On June 3, 1955, she married Norman Richard Weiderman at Burr Oak United Methodist Church. He survives, along with her children, Darcy and Jerry Johnson, Vann Weiderman and Cathy Wagner, and Nancy and Chris Parker; grandchildren Kiel and Aaron Johnson, Kassandra Wiley, Katelyn Weiderman, and Ryan, Aric, Troy and Gina Parker; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Duke and Mary Lou Hagelgans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in White Pigeon, with the Rev. Steve Kaszar officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes are available at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, which is in charge of arrangements.
