Dancing with the St Joseph County Stars entertained the audience

Colon Elementary School teachers Adam and Kylie Bowen won the second annual Dancing With the St. Joseph County Stars competition Friday at Three Rivers High School.
Sponsored by the St. Joseph County Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, the event featured five couples.
The Bowens – Adam teaches fifth- and sixth-grade science and Kylie is a kindergarten teacher – warmed up the audience with their performance to “Uptown Funk,” which was sandwiched between clips of Frank Sinatra’s “Young at Heart.”
From start to finish, the five teams drew the crowd into their performances. Mendon attorney Christine Yancey and her husband Charlie got things started and were followed by Roger Kelley and Sandra Davis.
Constantine Middle School Principal Ray Bohm and his wife did a cha-cha, and St. Joseph County Equalization Director Tony Meyaard and his wife of ten years, Nancy, did a salsa dance to “Bailando,” by Julio Iglesias. Nancy is a paraprofessional at Park Elementary School in Three Rivers.
