Dawn Elizabeth Barrett, age 53, of Athens, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
Dawn was born May 15, 1961, in Grand Rapids, Mich., a daughter to Gary and Corinne (Dutterer) Malinoski.
Dawn graduated from high school and furthered her education at cosmetology school.
On Nov. 24, 1979, she married Lyle Barrett in Factoryville, Mich.
Dawn was a homemaker and a member of the Factoryville Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband Lyle of Athens; three children, Larry Barrett of Middlebury, Ind., Nathan (Audrey) Barrett of Colon and Jessie Barrett of Three Rivers; his mother, Corinne Malinoski of Greensborough, NC; brother, Kurt Malinoski of Florida; and sister, Sheri Malinoski of Greensborough, NC.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Malinoski.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Dawn E. Barrett will be Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Factoryville Bible Church with Pastor Fred Goebert officiating. A funeral luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will then take place at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
If desired, memorials may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
