Man accused of shooting, burying brother

A 25-year-old man has been arraigned on a murder charge, accused of killing and then burying his brother in southwestern Michigan.

The Allegan County sheriff’s department says that Malcolm P. Dotson appeared Monday in Allegan District Court. He’s charged with an open count of murder and possessing a firearm during a felony.

Dotson’s jailed without bond pending an April 28 court date. It’s unknown if he has a lawyer.

MLive.com reports a woman says she found a large amount of blood on a sofa and her son missing.

The sheriff’s department says deputies found Damon Sheldon’s body Friday in a shallow grave near a trailer in Trowbridge Township, south of Allegan.

The department says that during the search, deputies found the suspect sleeping in a different home on the property.  (AP)
