Thomas Walters, 70

Thomas P. Walters, 70, of Mottville Township, White Pigeon, died unexpectedly Monday, April 13, 2015, at his home.

He was born June 3, 1944, in Otsego, to Leo and Darlene (Dyer) Walters.

He came to White Pigeon in 1948 from Otsego. He was a farmer and owner-operator of his scrap yard. He was a stock car driver and enjoyed working on cars.

He is survived by two daughters, Stacey Walters of Three Rivers and Faithann Walters and Derek McDonald of Denton, Texas; a son, Thomie K. Walters of White Pigeon; five grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Cindy (Rick) Bunnell of Lansing; and three stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother.

Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Manning of the United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Donations may be directed to the family.
