Two arrested on drug charges following traffic stop

A White Pigeon man was arrested last month in LaGrange County, Ind., on several drug charges, including possession of cocaine.
Jose Rubio, 21, was jailed along with Rafael L. Luna, 29, of LaGrange, following a traffic stop near Howe. County deputies said the vehicle in which Rubio and Luna were riding was stopped for an equipment violation
A search of the vehicle revealed five clear plastic bags containing a green leafy substance, two smoking devices and one grinder, according to authorities. The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana.
Deputies also discovered a white residue inside a pop bottle that was eventually found to be cocaine.
Both Rubio and Luna were taken to the LaGrange County jail, where they were booked on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
