Fair announces opening day music act

The St. Joseph County Grange Fair is announcing today its headline music act for the 2015 fair.
Fair manager Bill Johnson said the duo Dan + Shay will take the stage on opening day, Sept. 20. In an attempt to interest younger attendees, Johnson said the entertainment committee prioritized newer artists on the path to stardom.
In all, the committee researched about 20 artists to determine availability in routing and available dates for this year’s fair.
Johnson said Dan + Shay is a lively duo that recently released its first country album featuring their hit single, “19 You + Me.”
The concert night will start at 7 p.m. with an opening act, still waiting to be signed.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. May 15.
