Naomi A. (Bontrager) Kauffman, age 49, of Mendon, Mich., passed away, Saturday, May 16, 2015, at her home, after a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 13, 1965, in Sturgis, a daughter to Alvin LaMarr and EstherMarie (Miller) Bontrager.
She married Edward R Kauffman on July 6, 1989.
Naomi was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband Edward; two sons and three daughters, Ruth (special friendMerlen Schwartz), Lonora (special friend James Chupp), Mark, Linda and Richard all at home; mother Esther Marie (Miller) Bontrager; 4 brothers, Solomon (Carolyn), Melvin (Velma), Marvin (Magdalena) and Jonas (Lydia Ann); three sisters, Viola (Jake) Eicher, Ruth (Amos Jr.) Miller and Delilah Bontrager, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad Alvin LaMarr Bontager and mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Edna Kauffman.
The family will receive relatives and friends all day Monday at the family home at 58267 Walterspaugh Road, Mendon, MI 49072. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the family residence with home ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Order Amish Cemetery in rural Centreville, MI.
