A Constantine man who was charged with a weapons-related offense over the weekend was arraigned Monday.
Brandon Howard, 28, was arraigned in district court on four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of felony firearm and one count of fourth-degree child abuse.
Troopers were called at 1:20 a.m. to the 11000 block of Millers Mill Road in response to an intoxicated subject threatening to shoot people.
Howard allegedly retrieved a loaded shotgun and waived it in the air before witnesses managed to disarm him. Howard, who had armed himself with a .45-caliber revolver, then locked himself inside his residence with his three children, all under 12 years of age.
The situation was resolved without any shots fired.
Howard is in the county jail with bond set at $50,000.
