The Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education has named a temporary, interim superintendent while Jean Logan recovers from a health-related issue.
Board president Mike Bosma said Dennis Patzer, who retired a year ago after serving 12 years as chief of Otsego Public Schools, will serve in the capacity for at least a few weeks. Bosma said the duration could extend later into the summer and is contingent on Logan making a full recovery from her medical-related setback.
Bosma said the board inquired with area residents who have superintendent experience – including Roger Rathburn, Jim Birmingham and Rob Olsen – but they were not immediately available.
A pay rate with Patzer was to be worked out later in the day Tuesday. Bosma said he understands Pazter would prefer a per-day compensation rate.
