White Pigeon 5k benefits students

Organizers of an annual run and walk in memory of a fallen White Pigeon soldier have released details about the 2015 event.
The 1Lt. Jonathan Edds Memorial Classic 5K and 1K run and walk takes place July 11 as a part of White Pigeon Days. The sixth annual event is a fundraiser to support the Edds Foundation, which awards cash scholarships to White Pigeon High School students and supports other local causes.
Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for kids if registered in advance. A T-shirt is guaranteed to anyone who registers on or before Friday, though organizers expect to have a few available the day of the event.
Advance registration can be done online at the following web address: whitepigeon5k.com.
Edds was killed in the Middle East in 2007.
