Police in the Kalamazoo area say the death of a 19-month-old boy is being investigated as a homicide.
Police say Nyshuin Lewis was pronounced dead Tuesday after officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a report of an unresponsive child at a Kalamazoo Township home near the community’s border with the city of Kalamazoo.
Officers and medical personnel unsuccessfully tried to revive the child and township police were notified.
An autopsy Wednesday determined that the death likely was due to blunt force trauma. No arrests were immediately reported and the death is under investigation. (AP)
