Glen Oaks Community College welcomes Carol Naccarato as the director of the Allied Health Division/medical assistant program director.
A native of Detroit, Naccarato was raised in the Detroit Downriver area and grew up in Wyandotte, Michigan. She received associate degrees in both nursing and medical assisting from Glen Oaks; a bachelor’s in nursing from Spring Arbor University; a bachelor’s in fine arts from Siena Heights University and a master’s in fine arts from the University of Notre Dame.
Naccarato previously worked as a registered nurse for Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County. She was also employed as the supervising registered nurse at Fairview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Centreville and has held several positions at Family Doctors in Vicksburg, MIchigan. She also has a background in both business and education with positions in management at Levolor/Kirsch Window Fashions and Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio.
An alumna of Glen Oaks, Naccarato enrolled as an adult student in the Nursing program, graduating with honors in 2010 and was chosen as the class graduation speaker.
Naccarato resides in Sturgis. She belongs to the American Nursing Association, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Association of Medical Assistants. She is an avid reader and golfer.
