Michael Stanley Swiatkowski, 74, of Baldwin, passed away at home on June 26, 2015 with his loving wife by his side. He was born March 11, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. to Casimir and Della (Beben) Swiatkowski. Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Carol (Masunas); and children, Marilyn (Ward), Tammy (Ostrowski) and Michael J. Swiatkowski. Michael had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with several nieces and nephews that loved him very much.
Michael was a carpenter, wonderful husband, father and provider, he was a quiet caring man. Mike and Carol split their time between northern Michigan and the Jones area to raise their children and stay close to family and friends. They retired in Baldwin to live that quiet life, to watch the animals come up in their back yard and just enjoy each other.
Michael was cremated and a memorial service will be held at Poe’s Church in Jones will be Aug. 29 at 11 a.m. and luncheon following. In lieu of donation for Mike’s funeral expenses they can be sent to Verdun Funeral Home, 585 7th St., P.O. Box 14, Baldwin, MI 49304 — ATTN. Carol Swiatkowski.
