New Extension educator named

Michigan State University Extension’s Agriculture and Agribusiness Institute has announced Eric Anderson will be the new Extension educator for field crops and specialty crop production in St. Joseph County.
Anderson, who will begin work in late September, will work with faculty, specialists, field-based educators and farmers to achieve efficient and economical crop production and overall advancement of the Michigan agricultural industry.
He will provide educational programs for growers, processors and agribusiness professionals that will aim to further enhance agricultural profitability and environmental sustainability, to ultimately improve short and long-term farm viability.
While housed and having a focus in the St. Joseph County area, Anderson will also have statewide Extension programming responsibilities and will work with the regional MSU Extension team on production and management of field crops.
