Rita Erdos, 66

Rita Mae (Walton) Erdos, 66, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at Three Rivers Health surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 24, 1948 in Three Rivers the daughter of the late Gerald Ray and Ella Mae (Goodwill) Walton.

Rita has been a lifetime resident of this area. She was employed for many years at Hydra-Matic and later American Axle until she retired in 2006. Rita was well known for her big heart, love of family, her great sense of humor and love of her pets that gave her great pleasure. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gerald “Jerry” Walton; one sister, Ruth Ann (Walton/Erdos) Shelton; two nephews, James “Jimmy” Erdos and Steven Ray Erdos.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband of 48 years, John Erdos; sister, Jean Hutchins; brother, John “Jack” (Vicki) Walton; sister-in-law, Sandy Walton; several nieces and nephews which Rita and John loved as their own.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Hohner Funeral Home. Per Rita’s request cremation will take place after.
