Terry Wayne Hinchen, age 56, of Mendon, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Sturgis on July 23, 1959 the son of Charles and Lena (Yurkovich) Hinchen and was a lifetime resident of Mendon. He graduated from Mendon High School with the Class of 1978. Terry worked briefly at T-C Appliance in Sturgis, and Appliance Plus in Mendon. For the past 23 years he has worked at IAC in Mendon, where he was a member of the UAW. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed Ford Mustangs, watching science fiction movies, working in his yard, and helping others.
Terry was married to Tina Munson on Oct. 28, 2006 in Niagara Falls, NY. She survives along with three sisters, Nancy (Walter) Faykus of Cambridge, OH, Beverly (Bob) Whitney of Mendon, and JoLynn (Chuck) Radloff of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters in law, Nancy Yurkovich and Cindy Hinchen; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by four brothers, John Yurkovich, Billy Williams, Frank Hinchen, and Charles Hinchen.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mendon United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Aug. 29, 2015 at the church with Rev. Clint Zehr officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the Borgess Heart Institute. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
