Two shooting suspects arraigned

Two men allegedly involved in a series of shooting incidents last week in Sturgis have been arraigned.
Nicholas Carpenter, 32, and Joshua Shultz, 17, were arraigned Thursday, each on five counts of assault with intent to commit murder and six weapons-related charges.
Two juveniles were also arrested, however their names and details about their cases are not being released.
Bond for Carpenter and Shultz was set at $300,000 apiece.
Three homes and five vehicles were damaged by bullets around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
A house near the intersection of Congress and Jefferson streets was damaged. Another house on Main Street and a third on North Clay Street also were hit.
Two of the vehicles struck were in the 100 block of North Clay Street.
