Annabelle Jeanette (Keckler) Carter, age 72, of Sturgis, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Three Rivers Health. She was born in Kalamazoo on July 20, 1943, a daughter or Leo and Florabell (Geer) Keckler. On June 1, 1962, she married Bernard Carter in Centreville. Annabelle received her high school diploma from Centreville High School in 1993. She previous worked at Denton Mills in Centreville. She enjoyed raising her kids, reading books, and most of all, her large family.
Annabelle is survived by her husband Bernard; daughters Joann (Paul) Boal, White Pigeon, Diane (Robert) West, Elkhart, Deborah (Rodney) Childs, Flint, Cynthia Carter, Flint, Melissa (Scott) Blair, Sturgis, and Kimberly (Keith) Folsen, Centreville; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Thomas (Melanie) Keckler, Marcellus, Richard Keckler, Traverse City, Judy (Tony) Boyle, Constantine, Theodore Keckler, St. Clair, and Lyle Keckler, Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Monday, September 28 from 10-11 AM where Memorial services will take place at 11 AMat the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville.
