Man injured after falling from golf cart

An Illinois man suffered a head injury after he fell from a moving golf cart over the weekend.
Cass County Sheriff Joe Underwood said deputies were called at 11 p.m. Sunday to Storey Road in Penn Township, where 20-year-old Christian Moller of Arlington Heights was injured after falling from the back of a golf cart that had made a left-hand turn onto Lakeview Drive.
Witnesses said Moller was standing up when the cart’s driver, Edward Rach, 23, from Osceola, Ind., made the turn.
Moller was treated by Life Care Ambulance before he was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital by Med Flight.
He was list in stable condition.
Investigators said alcohol was a factor in the incident and no safety belts were available on the golf cart.
