Representatives from Glen Oaks Community College and Michigan State University will be on hand for a special Agricultural Operations information session 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday next week at Glen Oaks Community College’s Dresser Business Development Center.
A presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.
The college recently entered into a partnership with Michigan State University’s Institute of Agricultural Technology to offer the Associate of Applied Science in Business degree with a concentration in agribusiness/agricultural operations.
The partnership allows students the convenience of attending MSU classes in St. Joseph County. Students will have the assistance locally of a part-time academic advisor from MSU who can advise students in choosing courses, internship placements and making career decisions.
Glen Oaks officials said students in the program will gain a solid background in plant and soil science, precision agriculture, water management, entomology, plant pathology and business management.
