Commissioners accept bid for Cade Lake Park work

An Elkhart-based company was selected Tuesday to lead a sewer infrastructure project at a county park in Fawn River Township.
Commissioners accepted the lowest of three bids, which was submitted by C&E Excavating for almost $104,000. County administrator Pat Yoder said he will have a meeting next week with company officials to go over the full scope of the project.
Work will soon get started on the upgrade in services to Cade Lake Park and Campground. By virtue of its lowest bid, C&E was recommended by project engineer Jones Petrie Rafinski. Its officials confirmed that the bid-submittal package met all requirements as stated within the contract bid.
The sewer infrastructure for the park is possible thanks to an existing line servicing the village of Burr Oak.
