Riverside Elementary School in Constantine received a $10,000 grant last week from the Monsanto Company.
The grant will be used to pay for 100 fifth-grade students to go to the Outdoor Education Center and Clear Lake Camp later this month.
School counselor Steffany Predosa said the camp costs about $150 per student, and the grant pays for all costs, including food and transportation.
Students will spend two days and one night at the camp exploring science through camp activities.
The grant was presented to the school’s fifth-grade teachers by Derek Peterson, site manager at Monsanto.
