JaAnn Stasiak, 80

JaAnn M. Stasiak, age 80, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at White Oaks Assisted Living Center in Lawton. She was born in Three Rivers on Feb. 8, 1935 the daughter of Marion and Arlene (Bernhardt) Longacre, and was a lifetime resident of the Three Rivers area. She graduated from Three Rivers High School and had attended the First Presbyterian Church, where she was married to Walter J. Stasiak on Jan. 3, 1952. JaAnn retired from Continental Can Company, and provided sewing services, making many wedding and prom dresses for family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting, craft-work, and bowling. She and her family traveled extensively, and she especially enjoyed camping with her grandchildren.

JaAnn is survived by a son, Dennis Stasiak of Three Rivers; a daughter Brenda (Gary) Candelaria of Marcellus; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley Ollis) Candelaria, Heather Stasiak, Jennifer Stasiak, and Brittany Stasiak; special niece and nephews, Ray, Char, and Scott Kozelka. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Walter in 1997.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Brenda Deily, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac, Michigan. Memorial donations will be directed to Grace Hospice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.efhchapel.com
