Marjory Williamson, 73

Marjory Marie Williamson, age 73, of Mendon, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville following a two year battle with lung cancer. She was born in Vicksburg, MI on May 2, 1942 the daughter of Carlton L. and Ruth C. (Shingledecker) Moyer. She attended Fulton Elementary School, and later earned her GED from Vicksburg High School. Marjory was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, working for Sturgis Home Health Care for 25 years. She also worked at T-H Plastics for 10 years. She enjoyed creating and crafting things, mostly in crochet and cross-stitch. She was an Elvis and Garfield the Cat fan. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, and her home was rarely without a furry friend or two. She lived along the St. Joseph River for 40 years, enjoying the changing views and adopting the swans and ducks as pets, and where neighbors were like family.

Marjory is survived by a son, Dale (Luanne) Weeks of Fulton; and daughter, Diana (Jane Lombardo) Wykenham of Delphi, IN; 4 grandchildren, Dawn (Nick) Stevens, Kevin Weeks, Craig (Shawna) Neuenschwander, and Tyler (Hannah) Neuenschwander; 11 great grandchildren; 5 step-children; sister, Charlene (David) Boodt; and her soul sister, Becky (Terry) Knowles. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Larry and Jerry Moyer; son, Kevin Carl Weeks; husbands, Elmer Holly and Jerry Williamson; and partner, Roger Weeks.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 29, 2015 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Shayne Looper, Pastor of Lockwood Community Church officiating. Cremation will follow services, and her ashes will be interred in South Fulton Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2nd.
