The Three Rivers DDA/Main Street program next week will welcome representatives from National Main Street and Michigan Main Street back to Three Rivers for their annual visit.
Every Michigan Main Street program undergoes a yearly evaluation to assess the program’s progress in addressing downtown revitalization issues. Brian Persky, DDA/Main Street executive director, said because all Main Street programs vary considerably from each other due to varying priorities, goals, financial and volunteer resources. The evaluation is based on the National Trust Main Street Center’s Ten Standards of Performance.
In addition, the DDA/Main Street Board of Directors will stage a public meeting 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the same day at city hall, where a presentation from National Main Street and Michigan Main Street program representatives will be given.
