Sturgis firefighters were dispatched to ACM Plastics just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from roof vents at the north end of the plant.
All employees existed safely.
Due to heavy smoke, crews used a thermal-imaging camera to direct the fire-fight.
Damage was contained to a malfunctioning mold heater, while the building sustained minor smoke damage.
