The Three Rivers Area Community Foundation awarded more than $16,000 to area non-profit organizations during the recently completed 2015 annual competitive grant cycle.
Recipients are required to provide a 25 percent fund match to show commitment, vested interest and encourage community partnerships.
The Three Rivers Food Site was awarded $8,000 to assist with providing area residents with basic and emergency food and personal care supplies.
Harmony Festival was awarded $2,500 to help cover costs of the festival. The festival has been going on for more than 20 years and provides a family-friendly environment.
The other recipients are: C.I.N.O. (*Culture is Not Optional), $500; Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County $2,000 to help fund a rehabilitation of a home in Three Rivers; Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services $1,000; Three Rivers Library $1,000; the Three Rivers School Initiative $500; and $500 was issued to Three Rivers Improvement Movement to enhance the natural beauty on and around Memory Isle in Three Rivers.
