St. Joseph County deputies responded to separate complaints earlier this month; one regarding larcenies from a number of vehicles in Lockport Township, the other involved the theft of two riding mowers in Park Township.
On Dec. 11, investigators were called to the area of Timm Road and Lovers Lane after a number of residents reported their vehicles were entered overnight and items taken. The incidents occurred between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 10 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 11.
Meanwhile, deputies went to the area of U.S. 131 and Heimbach Road to investigate two missing mowers, likely taken between Dec. 4 and Dec. 10.
The missing John Deere mowers are typically used by landscape companies, officials said.
