Officials say goodbye to retiring aide

State Rep. Aaron Miller and former state Reps. Matt Lori and Rick Shaffer gathered at the Capitol Tuesday to say goodbye to retiring staffer Susan Martin, who served as legislative aide to all three lawmakers during the past 13 years.
Miller commended Martin for the hard work she has done for the people of the 59th House District while working with the three state representatives, and presented her with a tribute signed by himself, Sen. John Proos, U.S. Rep. Fred Upton and Gov. Rick Snyder.
She also was presented with a state seal signed by members of the House of Representatives.
Martin, a published novelist, will split time between Lansing and her home in Three Rivers in retirement.
