Resources make quitting smoking easier

The Michigan Tobacco Quitline is making it easier for Michigan residents to end tobacco use by offering free telephone coaching and nicotine-replacement therapy to all residents, regardless of insurance status.
The free offer is running through the end of the day Thursday.
The Michigan Tobacco Quitline provides services such as materials, text messaging, an online program and referral. The telephone coaching and free nicotine-replacement therapy traditionally are not included in the complimentary assistance.
However, with the current free coaching and nicotine-replacement therapy promotion, all Michigan residents can get a jump on their New Year’s resolution to quit smoking.
The Quitline is available at 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
