Arrest made in animal cruelty case

A Park Township resident was arrested Tuesday on a charge of animal cruelty.
Sheriff’s officials said animal control supervisors Greg Musser and Josh Shook were called to the 19000 block of M-60 in response to a report of a puppy being left outside.
Musser and Shook discovered the six-month-old animal had frozen to death.
Deputies said a veterinarian later confirmed the cause of death and indicated the puppy was likely an indoor pet not acclimated to such severe cold.
Roxann Grochoske was taken to the county jail, where bond was set at $2,000.
