Commission approved resolution in honor of Steve Todd

The first of what will likely be several public accolades bestowed upon Steve Todd occurred during this week’s St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Todd, who is retiring next week following a career of more than 40 years with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency, was the recipient of a resolution approved by the five-member commission Tuesday.
Todd reflected on his four decades and said he appreciates the continued support St. Joseph County has provided the Coldwater-based agency.
Rebecca Burns, a 21-year agency employee, was introduced by Todd as its new health officer in Todd’s place. Todd said he is “turning the keys to the building over to a very qualified individual.”
A retirement open house for Todd takes place 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Coldwater. Remarks from state and local officials are scheduled to occur between 1 and 1:30 p.m.
