St. Joseph County’s board of commissioners renewed contracts with three high-ranking employees Tuesday.
The County administrator’s contract was extended through 2016. J. Patrick Yoder, 67, joined the county in April 2013. His new contract includes a 2 percent raise, which gives him a base salary of nearly $118,000 annually.
Finance director Joni Smith, 53, agreed to a one-year contract renewal. Smith, who was hired in July 2011, also was given a 2 percent raise and will be paid more than $71,000 a year.
In addition, human resources director Teresa Doehring agreed to a 12-month contract and was granted a $5,000 salary increase. The 41-year-old Doehring now earns $70,000 a year. She was hired in December 2014.
