Delton Ray Pangle, age 86, of Three Rivers, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at his home. He was born in Three Rivers on Oct. 25, 1929 the son of Lee D. and Pearl (Peek) Pangle, and was a 1948 graduate of Three Rivers High School. He was married to Georgianna LaBranche on Sep. 3, 1948 in Centreville. Delton was employed by G.T.E. for 35 years, retiring as a Communications Engineer, and later attended Glen Oaks Community College. He was a member of the Centreville United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Centreville Lions Club. He and his wife enjoyed travel, winters in Texas, and spending time with their family.
Delton is survived by four children, Kathleen Pangle of Scottville, MI, Delton “Ike” Pangle and his wife, Cheryl of Mendon, Vern “Chris” Pangle and his wife, Wendy of Three Rivers, and Mark Pangle of Three Rivers; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Georgianna; sister, Harriett Pangle; and by 2 brothers, Harold and Durwood Pangle.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted. A private family service will be held later with interment of ashes in Mendon Cemetery.
