Donna Nichols, 78

Donna Jean Nichols, age 78, of Three Rivers passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 to be reunited in heaven with her husband, Rolland and their daughter, Tina. She was born on November 15, 1937 in Three Rivers to the late Don and Edna (Lincoln)Weiandt.
On April 26, 1957 she was united in marriage to Rolland Nichols whom preceded her in death on February 10, 1997. Together they shared thirty nine years of marriage and raised four children, Teri (Rick) Hanchon, Todd (Karen) Nichols, Tamara (Steve) Babcock, and the late Tina Nichols.
In addition to her three surviving children, seven granddaughters survive Tiffany (Josh) Gold, Holly (Anthony) Granzotto, Courtney (Josh) Schroeder, Carl y Nichols, Nicole(John Graham) Babcock, Tara Babcock, and Shelbe Bruystens and one great granddaughter, Presleigh Schroeder, two sisters-in-law, Carol Weiandt and Bev (Graden) Kundert. Many nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. Donna was always surrounded by her girls, always leaving one son outnumbered.
Donna grew up with four sisters, Jan (Roger) Anderson, Julie Richard, Margaret (Dave) Galinet, and Shelly (Fred) Burnett whom all survive. In addition to her husband, Rolland and daughter, Tina she was also preceded in death by one brother, Terry Weiandt , sister-in-law, Eleanor (Ted) Daniels, and brother-in-law, Lyle Richard.
Donna retired from Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo where she was employed for thirty five years. Upon her early retirement she moved to The Villages in Florida where she enjoyed the warm weather, sunshine, and bowling. She then moved back to Three Rivers within the last three years due to her declining health.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 with Pastor Randy Peterson of Porter Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be held at Poe Cemetery. The family of Donna Nichols would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Reverence Hospice and a special thank you to Katie and Vicki.
