Lloyd Loudenslager, 80

Lloyd W. Loudenslager, age 80, of Burr Oak, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Community Health Center of Branch County in Coldwater.
Lloyd was born July 15, 1935, in Colon, a son of the late William H. and Margaret Althea (Baumeister) Loudenslager.
He had lived all his life in St. Joseph County, graduating from Sturgis High School with the class of 1953.
In 1958, he married Susanna Holtz, which ended in divorce. Later in 1993, he married Alice (Clark) Weinberg.
Lloyd had farmed, drove trucks and had been very active in harness horse racing.
He was a member of New Beginnings Church of Sturgis and a past member of the Sturgis Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Loudenslager of Burr Oak; children Vicki (Stan) Yoder of Sturgis, Pam (Jeff) Thaxton of Colon and Michael (Carol) Loudenslager of Colon; stepchildren Gary (Colleen) Clark of Centreville, Larry Weinberg of Burr Oak, Jerry Weinberg of Colon and Lori (Larry) Sheteron of Burr Oak; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd H. (Jane) Loudenslager of Burr Oak; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Lloyd W. Loudenslager will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at New Beginnings Church, 63022 M-66, Sturgis, with Pastor Randy Evans officiating. Burial will follow at South Colon Cemetery in Colon.
If desired, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Lloyd to New Beginnings Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
