Two injured in US-131 crash

The Michigan State Police Marshall Post, White Pigeon Detachment investigated a two vehicle injury crash Friday afternoon. One vehicle a 2004 Saturn driven by Nancy Visel, 62, of Schoolcraft, was northbound on US-131 when it struck a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Sheri Bethard, 53, of Marcellus, as it crossed US-131 from Heimbach Road.

Visel was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, by Three Rivers Ambulance. Bethard was flown to Bronson Hospital by Samaritan Medical Transport of Ft. Wayne.  Bethard is listed in serious condition, but expected to make a full recovery. Visel is also expected to make a full recovery.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and both drivers had their seatbelts on. Bethard was cited for failure to yield.

Assisting at the scene were Fabius/Park Fire Department, and Three Rivers Ambulance.
