A 34-year-old Cass County man was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop Wednesday.
Members of the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team pulled over the suspect’s vehicle near Guyer Road and Union Road, as the driver was under investigation for suspected manufacturing of methamphetamine.
A search was conducted on the vehicle and detectives located methamphetamine, marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia. A subsequent search was done at the driver’s residence in the 17000 block of Brownsville Road in Calvin Township.
Detectives discovered inside a pole barn an active one-pot meth lab, 12 one-pot meth labs, meth components and paraphernalia, marijuana, and a loaded firearm.
Eight more one-pot meth labs were located elsewhere on the property.
The suspect was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a meth lab, maintaining a lab producing hazardous waste, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of meth, and felony firearms.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
